A Guichet Unlimited for high-level athletes

The birth of the Guichet Unlimited project

Following discussions with EM Lyon and our Board of Directors, a clear need emerged: how can young adults successfully balance higher education with their athletic ambitions? Beyond the organizational challenge, financial constraints also come into play. To succeed, these students must be able to focus fully on both their academic and athletic goals, within a secure material framework.

That’s why the Foundation Unlimited has decided to create a dedicated program, with an annual budget allocated to selected high-level student-athletes. This support will help cover part of their needs: living expenses, travel, or sports equipment. It is governed by agreements signed between the school, the athlete, and the Foundation Unlimited.

The project launches in 2025

In April 2025, Matthieu Jeandel, President of the Foundation Unlimited, and Olivier Sadran, Founder and CEO of Newrest, visited EM Lyon to meet with the EM Lyon Foundation and the first student-athletes to benefit from our scholarship program.

This year, eight young student-athletes are being supported by the Foundation Unlimited throughout their BBA program at EM Lyon.

Their selection was based on demanding criteria: commitment, perseverance, resilience, team spirit, and managerial maturity. These are the qualities of high-level athletes that will help them thrive in the business world.
