In May, surgeons from the NGO Entendre le Monde traveled to the University Hospital of Lomé, the capital of Togo, to support the local medical teams responsible for performing surgical procedures.

A dedicated team

From May 12 to 16, a team of surgeons, anesthesiologists and speech therapists traveled from France to Lomé.

The objective of their mission was to share their expertise with local teams and train them in the use of new tools and techniques that were previously unfamiliar to them. Taking advantage of this opportunity, they also performed surgeries on several patients who had been selected beforehand.

Although the NGO team encountered several challenges during their interventions, they successfully provided care to all patients.

A positive outcome

The mission was a great success.

The local surgeon expressed great satisfaction with the training provided. The introduction of new techniques was considered highly effective and valuable. Throughout the mission, the commitment and dedication of the local teams were exemplary.

A high-impact partnership

The Foundation Unlimited has been actively collaborating with the NGO Entendre le Monde since 2025.

Founded in 2006, the organization specializes in otolaryngology (ENT) and diseases of the head and neck, particularly those affecting the ear, nose and throat. Its missions help combat hearing loss in developing countries, where one child in four suffers from hearing disorders.

Through their commitment on every mission, the organization’s teams help build a future free from preventable medical complications for both adults and children in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
